ATWATER, MN - Justin Hedtke, owner of Hedtke Performance, has been around building Hedtke engines for 12 years. He is here for racers to help them compete in the racing world. “Regardless of your racing budget, we can put together an engine package that works for you,” Hedtke said. Whether a racer is interested in basic engine machine work, a complete racing engine or machine work for an engine he or she wants to put together, Hedtke Performance has the resources and the know-how to get the job done. “I have spent a lot of time researching engines and testing out different combinations on the track along with using valuable input from the drivers to be able to provide a fast, competitive and durable engine for each and every customer,” Hedtke said. “Hedtke Performance is a smaller business which provides the same personalized service to every customer.
We take a lot of pride in every engine we build and we want all our customers to be satisfied.” Hedtke Performance’s personalized service doesn’t end when the engine leaves the shop. Hedtke Performance has delivered engines to a customer’s home and to the track when the need arises. Hedtke can also be found at many different tracks throughout the race season helping his customers out with thier race cars. Hedtke wants to be available for them if they have questions or problems. You will see him helping people change tires, transmissions, gears and anything else that may need attention. “We also do our best at the shop to be available for customers who need to come in the evening and on weekends,” Hedtke said. Hedtke Performance uses an extensive list of quality parts including Wiseco, JE, CP, Federal Mogul, Comp, Isky, Lunati, Kevko Pans, Diamond, Eagle, ARP, Ferrea, Total Seal, Mahle and Manley, among others. Their list of services also includes the use of a spare engine when one is available, while the customer’s engine is being built. The Hedtkes said their geographic trade area is “anywhere,” and that the racing divisions they focus on are Modifieds, Super Stocks, Midwest Modifieds, Street Stocks, and Mod Fours. They will, however, build an engine for any division. They also build engines for street vehicles and hotrods.
Hedtke Performance products can be shipped to customers via UPS and the Hedtkes accept payment with major credit cards. Hedtke is a member of the KRA Speedway board at the Willmar, MN race track. You will see him down in the pits every Thursday helping out drivers in any way he can. “When I’m at the races, I am available to help drivers with their engines, whether they are customers or not,” he said. Hedtke said he pays special attention to all machine work right down to the smallest details because every bit of horsepower counts. He provides engine freshening to any racer, whether he originally built the engine or not. Congratulations go out to all our customers on a great season.
